Most of the PMG team members come to work by car in both San Diego and Long Beach facilities. The San Diego facility has about 90 full time people who come to the facility, whether for the day or for overnight vessel operations. Employee access to parking has been an issue for the company in San Diego for years. The San Diego office team got together and made a concerted effort to tackle this problem. They systematically evaluated every potential parking arrangement, including renting places from local businesses with surplus parking capacity to promoting the use of public transit or Uber. By talking to the affected employees and sifting through the multiple options the management team was able to find dedicated parking for nearly all the employees by renting additional parking spaces at a local college and by financially supporting the use of transit for those who choose to use it. PMG is able to tackle issues by methodically approaching a problem and pooling our knowledge to find a reasonable solution.
